You can park your mobile homes and tents at the Grunstrand site next to the dinghy park - book with your entry. Mobile homes will be €18/night including electrical hook-up, and tents from €8/night depending on size (€14 with car). There are showers and toilets on site. Grunstrand opens on Thursday 21 July for camping and closes on Sunday 31 July.

If you don't want to camp, there is plenty of other accommodation on offer, but don't wait!

To help you book your accommodation in the best place, the Grunstrand site is around 1/2 mile from the race village, on the same side of the river, in a westerly direction, overlooking the Baltic Sea. The Tourist Office will know of the site.

There are plenty of small apartments to rent and hotels of all standards. All accommodation needs to be booked early as this is a very busy period.

The Travemunde tourist office are open Mon- Fri 9.30am-6pm (Nov to Feb) and from March Sat 10am-3pm, Sun 11am-3pm. Telephone +49 (0)451 88 99 700, email [email protected]. They publish an accommodation guide which you can download, or use the online search & booking website at www.travemuende-tourism.de This website is worth a visit even if you don’t need accommodation as it has so much other information.

Refund policy:
If you cancel your entry before the early entry deadline we will refund all fees, minus a £15 admin fee. If you cancel after the early entry deadline, but before online entry closes our standard policy is to return 50% of fees. Where an event entry limit has been reached a refund will only be issued if another boat from the waiting list takes your place. If you cancel after entry closes we will not usually issue a refund.
