We are so excited to be returning to the awesome Mounts Bay Sailing Club for the Noble Marine Rooster RS400 National Championships 2023!

Racing will be from Mon 31st July - Fri 4th August, but as seasoned RS400 Nationals sailors will know, the fun starts on the Sunday, with optional coaching, the Race Brieifing, a wlecome talk about the area and a Commodore's Reception withg a complimentary drink. The bar will most certainly be open!

Optional Coaching: Sun 30th July 1200-1600

Registration: Sun 30th July 15:---18:00 and Mon 31st July 0900-1030

Briefing and Commodore's Reception: Sun 30th July 8pm

Coaching

There will an optional afterrnon coaching session on Sunday 30th July run by expert RS400 sailor, your Class Chair, Sam Knight - the perfect opportunity to suss out the venue, ask lots of questions and for newer sailors to build confidence and make sure the boat is set up and ready to go for race 1. Recommended for all levels, the coaching will take account of the objectives of all present. We are limited to 20 places, please book with entry - first come, first served! 

Social Programme

Anyone who has sailed at the RS400 Nationals in the past will note that the fleet socials are a mix of chilled evenings with a warm welcome and lively, fun night. There will be a Championship Dinner and a large measure of Cornish hospitality!

The easy option is to book our special value MEAL DEAL, save money, save hassle!

1x Mon Pasta Bake, 1x Weds AGM Chilled Chilli Night, 1x Thurs Championship Dinner Hog Roast and Jelberts Ice Cream, all for £35! Choose standard or veggie options when you enter.

If you really can't decide now, you can buy individual meal tickets with your entry or from the shop.

Sun - Race Briefing and Commodore's Reception - open to all, no need to book

Mon - Sailors' Supper - Chicken Pasta Bake or Vegan Sweet Potato and Chickpea Curry, please pre-book.

Tue - Enjoy a pasty after sailing and a ferry trip to St. Michael's Mount, where you will meet the Lord and Lady of the Mount and be served a complimentary drink.  Included in entry for sailors, with tickets available with entry for extras.

Weds - Our chilled AGM night, Sailors Supper - Chilli Con Carne or Vegan Chill, please pre-book.

Thurs - The RS400 Nationals Championship Dinner, with live band and spectacular hog/veggie roast, followed by a famous Jelbert's Ice cream with clotted cream and flake. The event finale and definitely not to be missed, please pre-book your dinner tickets.

Entry

Entry will be online via this website, opening at 10am on Friday 10th March

There are 3 key dates to bear in mind:

31st March - enter by then to receive a free Rooster 3l Nationals branded dry bag for helm and crew   

15th May - enter by then to save £50, that'll get you a drink or 10!

23rd July - entry closes

Entry inlcudes 5 day's of racing, 5 days coming ashore snacks, entry to all of the parties (optional food is extra), a drink at the Commodore's Reception plus 2x free 3l dry bags worth £25 for entries received by 31st March.

Accommodation

Monuts Bay is in a popular seaside town and accommodation books up quickly - we really do recommend you book up now.

For those that don't mind a bit of 'almost wild' camping, the club have an agrement with Home Farm Camping "No frills camping with a great view!" .  Suitable for  campervans, with limited tent sapce too. Please book with John Oliver 07810 711340

A representative from the charity has been invited to speak at the Championship Dinner and we will be running a Grand Raffle, with some great prizes to be won and all proceeds going to the charity.
