Report on RS400 Fat Face Racing Circuit Event at Leigh & Lowton, 6/7 July 02
�Eh by eck t�t weather were georgeous� � a lovely sunshiney weekend with light and rather �testing� winds both days. There were 39 entries, 26 of which were Leigh and Lowton members and 13 were visitors. Thanks to those visitors for making the effort to visit us. The furthest traveller being Richard Catchpole who flew in from America on Saturday morning to sail for the first time in a year, with Greebo, to come 4th overall � some people just don�t need any practice !. The race winners were � race 1 � M & M Green in the nice pink boat; race 2 � David Giles and Fiona Clark; race 3 � Richard Catchpole and Mark Greaves; race 4 � Dave Exley and John Mckeand.
Saturday night was the usual huge success � a champion 2 course meal and then the annual L&L RS bash featuring �The Half Monty� � 6 of the finest figures of Leigh and Lowton brawn, slowly, seductively , sensually ( and some a bit shyly) stripping down to their lithe athletic slightly tanned torsos. Imagine Muscle Beach in Calafornia � well this was vaguely, remotely, similar, ish � well if you squinted a bit. The Leigh and Lowton Ladies gave them plenty of encouragement but still the bouys were too shy to do the full monty � unlike their predesessors Greg �fast-foils� O�Brien and Mike Budd in their Pan Dance. Well done boys - 8 out of 10!
