Polgoon Winemakers Guided Tour - Wednesday 27 August, 1930hrs
Join the winemaker for a walk through the vineyard & Orchard. Learn about the apple & grape varieties and the vineyard routines. Head into the winery to see typical production processes including the artisan method we use to produce our sparkling products. The tour concludes with tastings of our wines and ciders.
The 90-120 minute guided tours provide a fascinating insight into the activities of a working vineyard orchard and winery.
Beginning with a walk through the orchard and then up to the vines, learn about our apple and grape varieties, as well as care and pruning regimes. We go through typical production processes like fruit pressing and fermentation and how the method traditionnelle is used to make our sparkling wines and ciders. The tour then concludes with the inevitable highlight - tastings of our wines and ciders.
