Plenty of RS400 Racing Last Weekend
hotos: Pauline Thompson, Lord Birkett; Peter Fothergill, Lymington Dinghy Regatta
A busy time for the RS400s last weekend
The record 35 RS400s that entered this year's Lord Birkett Trophy, had the benefit of two events in one as once again the two long distance races along the length of Ullswater held over two days counted towards the RS400 Northern Tour sponsored by Rope4Boats, who marked the record entry with a raffle on Saturday evening. The 35 RS400s joined the huge entry of 231 boats competing in event ranging from RS Fevas to VX Ones and a Cruiser fleet sailing in very light breeze. Read all about it HERE with thanks to Hamish Gledhill for the report. Lots of Tim Olin's photos from the event are HERE.
Further south, as part of the Rooster RS400 Southern Tour, 9 boats attended the Lymington Dinghy Regatta, sailing in scorching sun and spanking sea breezes. Read all about it HERE with thanks to Annalise Nixon for the report. A fun video of the event is HERE. Click on 'Download Highlight's and go to 2:15 minutes in to get the regatta coverage. Lots of Peter Fothergill's photos of the event are HERE.
Up in Scotland the JP Watersports Scottish Tour moved to Findhorn SC. Report and results will be on the RS website soon.
Loads of events coming up including, of course, the RS Games. See all details of events HERE
