Announcing the Rooster Sailing RS400 European Tour
The European Tour has been revived for 2020, thanks to the generous support of Rooster Sailing.
5 events make up the tour; the EuroCup in Carnac, UK Nationals at South Shields, Irish Northerns at Carrickfergus, Scottish Nationals at Aberdeen & Stonehaven and the Irish Nationals at Rush, with 3 events to count.
We will be trialing a new high points scoring system for this series which will calculate a result out of 100 (100=1st place) reflecting the number of boats competing in each event. Eg. you would receive 50 points for finishing 5th in an event out of 10 boats and receive 50 points for finishing 50th in a fleet of 100 boats. Series points scoring will sit with the helms 3 highest scoring events over the European tour Series.
Rooster prizes will be awarded to the overall top 3 and the winners from each participating country. The overall winner will aslo take home the European Tour trophy and have their names engraved alongside RS400 legends such as Craig Burtlon & Andy Bonsey, Pete Vincent & Jane Norris, Roger Gilbert & Jamies Stewart, Nick Craig & Fiona Clark and more recently Stewart & Sarah Robertson, Mike Sims, John Gorringe and Howard Farbrother! (Apologies if I'v missed you - there are too many names ot mention them all).
Rooster Sailing RS400 Euopean Tour dates are here
We welcome all feedback on this system at the end of the series when looking towards the 2021 European tour.
