UPDATE - Volvo Noble Marine RS400 National Championships, 9-13 August, South Shields SC
In light of the recent Government announcements, we are optimistic that the RS400 Nationals can go ahead, but we need your help to gauge the level of interest.
We are confident that if the pandemic reaches step 3 in the UK by July as anticipated, we can deliver a superb event, all the more valued because we have missed so much sailing this year. Have a look at this Event Guide that South Shields have put together to whet your appetite (please note that this document was prepared pre-COVID-19, so there may be some changes).
We are pleased to announce that 2x RS400 National Champions, Stewart and Sarah Robertson will be running the pre-race coaching session on 8th August. Places can be booked with your entry.
We are aiming to make a final decision on the event at the beginning of July, but before that we would like to establish how many of the fleet plan to attend, given this decision timeline, so that we can make sure it is viable for the club who have put so much effort in already, plan resources and ensure we have a representative National Championship for the fleet.
- If you have entered already and still intend to come you do not need to do anything. No payment is required until 9th
- If you have not entered and intend to come, please enter online now as an ‘intention to race’. No payment needed until 9th
- If you have entered, but no longer wish to come, please email Joanne, so that your entry can be removed from the list.
Please note that if necessary, due to ongoing restrictions and/or numbers, we may have to make certain adjustments, e.g. to the social programme, dinghy park spacing, camp site spacing etc. Don’t worry – we are already thinking about socially distanced socials!
