Noble Marine TridentUK RS400 Nationals - fleet allocations and buddy groups
With the Noble Marine TridentUK RS400 National Championships just one week away, we are delighted to announce the much-anticipated fleets allocation and buddy groups.
The list is here
TridentUK’s generous title sponsorship includes daily prizes for the top 3 boats in the gold, silver and bronze fleets throughout the event, meaning that every sailor has a chance to win.
The RS400 fleet adopted the Buddy Group system from the RS200s. It is now an integral part of the National Championships, designed to help sailors get to know each other and for the better sailors to help those with less experience progress.
Each Buddy Group has 3 pairs - usually 1 gold, 1 silver and 1 bronze boat. The Buddy quiz is the first big social event of the championships, perfect for buddies to get to know each other.
Each year the groups have a theme, with this year’s picked by Class Chair, Jacob Ainsworth. With groups including swimmers as well as sailors, this year’s mystery theme may not be a difficult guess!
South Shields Sailing Club have agreed to arrange the dinghy park so that sailors should be next to their buddies, a huge help in finding them in such a big fleet.
