After 3 events Chris Pickles and Matt Sharman (Bass SC) are leading the Trident UK Northern Tour, with an impressive one first place and two seconds. Behind them Hamish Gledhill/Ross Southwell (West Riding SC) and Dave Exley/Nigel Hall (Leigh and Lowton SC) are tied in second with Sam Watson and Geoff Edwards (Budworth SC) lying in fourth. There are some big names lurking further down the table waiting to string a few events together.
The turnouts this year are up on last year with 36 boats taking part so far. There are five events left, so plenty of time to get involved and be eligible for some gift vouchers provided by our tour sponsor Trident UK.
The winds have been on the light side so far, so we are due some breeze. Talking of which, the next event is at Tynemouth SC, which in recent years has had some great entries and some spectacular sailing.
