Buddy Groups and Fleet Allocations announced
The RS Classes were the pioneers of the buddy system, now popular across a wide range of dinghy classes.
For those new to the RS400, this is particularly, but not exclusively for you! We pair up experienced sailors with the less experienced, so that questions can be asked and tips, experience and knowledge passed on. There will be a prize for the best performing buddy team.
We like to give everyone the opportunity to win prizes, so as well as a buddy system, we split the fleet into gold and silver. everyone races together in one big fleet, we collate the results as usual and then award both gold and silver prizes from our sponsors such as Rooster and the RS Sailing Store.
The buddy system also means that everyone, including those right at the top, but perhaps new to the 400, have someone to say hello to on day one and to introduce them to the fleet in the bar too.
Please go and find your buddies when you arrive at HISC!
With thanks to Tom Halhead, here are this year's much-awaited Buddy Groups and fleet allocations.
