We’re delighted to welcome Ann Nugent and Joanne Hill to the RS Class Association secretariat team!
Most Sundays and Wednesdays you’ll find Ann out on the water crewing an RS200 — and when she’s not sailing, she’s usually volunteering and supporting club life. Before joining the RS team, Ann spent decades working in PR and marketing, most recently leading the marketing for a Midlands-based sailing club. She enjoys getting people engaged, creating newsy content and helping the team to deliver great events!
Ann’s looking forward to getting stuck in behind the scenes, getting to know the RS family and helping make sure you hear about all the exciting things happening across the classes. She will be taking responsibility for the RS100 and RS200 fleets.
Joanne is looking forward to joining the team and utilising her experience from volunteering as secretary with regional youth sailing, training admin for her local club and as a treasurer for a pathway class association.
Now that her sons can drive, her job as shore parent and logistics manager as they progressed from RS Feva's through to the RYA youth squad, is coming to an end. As a novice sailor, Jo is planning to have more time to sail, practice helming her RS200 and visiting new clubs to support the RS Class Association. Jo will be taking responsibility for the RS300, RS600 and RS Vareo flees.
